Awaiting you 10 minutes east of Strathalbyn is Langhorne Creek, one of Australia's first wine growing districts. Here on the flood plains of the Bremer River, vineyards sprawl in all directions.

A visit to the district's wineries will introduce you to the area's quality produce and to some of its local history - a look at the enormous red gum wine press is a must. A visit to nearby Lake Alexandrina will provide many opportunities for bird watching and fishing enthusiasts.

The cellar doors within the magnificent wine region of Langhorne's Creek include, Bremerton Wines, Lake Breeze Wines and Bleasdale Wines. A visit to these wineries will introduce you to the area's quality produce along with some of its long standing history. A must see is the enormous redgum wine press housed at Bleasdale Wines.
